Hola, hola.
-English below-
¡repaso!
I hope you are reading this email with a smile on your face because el verano is here*.
I don't know if it's hot where you live this month or if you will be able to go on vacation, but I'm sure that this month your routine and lifestyle will change. I notice that the pace of work in Spain is slowing down. People are calmer, happier.
I’m feeling happy too. In a few days I am going to the USA, to visit San Francisco. Please, if you have any recommendations (areas, restaurants, etc.), reply to this email.
As it's the last day of June and it's time for a review!
It has been the star topic of the month. I am going to write a text with all the words I have learned:
That day I got up at 5 a.m., put on my hiking boots, took a walking bastón and started walking.
I got up early (madrugón) to be the first to arrive at the albergue. And so it was. I asked the receptionist to put a sello -stamp- on my credentials. But when I opened my backpack, all I had was my chubasquero - I had forgotten everything at the previous hostel! I was tired and my feet were blistered (ampollas).

Hola,
Not sure if this reply will work, but I am from the Bay Area. In San Francisco, I recommend taking in a baseball game (The Giants) and then walking up to Pier 39 to see the seals and other aquatic life. You’ll be able to see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island from there. There really is so much to do! Taking a tour of Alcatraz is super interesting, Lombard Street (the curvy street), Boudin Sourdough Factory, Ghiradeli Chocolate Factory, walking the street of China Town…there is a lot to see and do! I would avoid some areas like the Tenderloin and the homeless encampments as things are bad there. But I just went downtown with my kids last week to watch a baseball game and walked to Pier 39. All was fine. I would not rent a car or take the Bart Train—getting transportation like Lyft or Uber is way better/safer.
Enjoy!
