Hola,

Not sure if this reply will work, but I am from the Bay Area. In San Francisco, I recommend taking in a baseball game (The Giants) and then walking up to Pier 39 to see the seals and other aquatic life. You’ll be able to see the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island from there. There really is so much to do! Taking a tour of Alcatraz is super interesting, Lombard Street (the curvy street), Boudin Sourdough Factory, Ghiradeli Chocolate Factory, walking the street of China Town…there is a lot to see and do! I would avoid some areas like the Tenderloin and the homeless encampments as things are bad there. But I just went downtown with my kids last week to watch a baseball game and walked to Pier 39. All was fine. I would not rent a car or take the Bart Train—getting transportation like Lyft or Uber is way better/safer.

Enjoy!

Gunnar
