I'm no expert on Spanish, but the quote above does not translate as you state. This is your version: "No vivimos para trabajar, trabajamos para poder vivir bien." “Rather than living for working, we just work because we need the money to live”.

My rudimentary translation is: "We don't live to work, we work to be able to live well." Correct? It says nothing about "money to live..." unless you're making a great leap in semantics...
